Lingua Forum 2006

A CALEDONIAN SCHOOL CONFERENCE FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS

Lingua Forum 2006 focused on teaching methods. The conference was divided into two blocks. During the morning lectures at Národní dům in Smíchov, prominent foreign textbook authors introduced didactic methods that value new ideas based on the interactive approach, in contrast to the current drilling method. Authors Jim Scrivener and David Evans, among others, participated at the conference representing English language textbook authors. Authors of teaching materials for the German language were Andrea Mackenses and Wilfried Völker.

The afternoon block at the Caledonian school focused on practical workshops where participants were given the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge.
