How to Find us
To help you find your feet, we've prepared some instructions for when you first arrive at the airport.
At the airport -- Praha Ruzyně:
When you step off the plane, you'll probably be feeling a combination of tiredness, excitement, and apprehanesion. Don't worry about getting around in Prague; it is very simple, even for the 'don't speak a word of Czech first time traveller.' The first thing to do once you go through the security gate is to buy a transport ticket. You'll see a stand to your right labelled "Transport Information METRO-TRAM-BUS," where you may purchase a single, 24-hour, or longer-term travel pass valid for buses, trams, and metros. Then follow the signs to the bus stop, where you'll have a choice of buses to take you to the centre. Bus no. 119 will take you closer to the historic centre, dropping you off at Dejvická (endstation of the 'green' (A) metro line), located to the northeast of the centre. Bus no. 100, on the other hand, will take you to the metro station Zlicin (endstation of the 'yellow' (B) metro line), which is located to the southeast of Prague. Both of these stations are the endstations of the respective bus lines, so simply get off the bus at the final stop. There are also many taxis available and the fare from the airport to Andel costs 500kc (We recommend confirming the price with the driver before you leave the airport).
Getting to Caledonian School in Andel:
Caledonian School is located on Vltavska 24 in Andel, which is on the 'yellow' (B) metro line. You can also reach Andel by trams 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 20. Your hostel will most likely be able to provide you with simple directions to get to Andel. Our school is a 3-minute walk from both the tram and metro stops. It may be a good idea to print out the map and bring it with you for reference.
