Zertifikat Deutsch
The Goethe-Zertifikats B1 : Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) proves that you have a sound basic knowledge of everyday German and that you have language skills required for dealing with all kinds of different situations encountered every day. The examination corresponds to level three (B1) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Examination components
Written examination held in groups (150 minutes)
You will read classified advertisments and a longer report or factural text and then do realistic exercises on them.
You will fill in the gaps in a letter by selecting the right word from a number of possibilities offered.
You will listen to brief conversations, announcements and a longer interview and then do the exercises on them.
You will write a personal or formal letter, at the same time completing various exercises.
Oral examination held individualy or in twos (15 minutes)
You will introduce yourself, pass on the information contained in a diagram, picture or text and talk to your converastion partner about everyday topic. During the dialogue, you will respond to questions, express your opinion and make suggestion.
Recognition
Certificates issued by the Goethe-Institut are recognized throughout the world.
The Gothe-Zertifikat B1 : Zertifikat Deutsch is also the language qualification required for acquiring German citizenship.
